As of March 27, 2006, there are 20 new secure detox beds and 40 secure step-down beds for women at High Point in New Bedford. Secure treatment facilities for Women have been sorely lacking in Massachusetts for a long time, as most criminal defense lawyers have discovered, and this addition will certainly help.

I manage a 16-bed Secure Detox in Washington State and am looking to contact other facilities for program information and sharing of best practices.
We have been in operation since 4/06 and are a 3 year Pilot Project covering 5 rural counties. Over 280 admissions to date.
